FeedMeSafe is designed to minimise personal data. The allergy card is generated in your browser and can be used without creating an account.

What data is processed

• Allergens and optional notes you choose to put into your card.
• Browser storage required to create, display, and remember your choices on your device.
• Basic server logs kept by the hosting provider for security and reliability.

Special category health data

Allergy information can be special category health data under UK GDPR. FeedMeSafe handles this by data minimisation: no account is required, no advertising profile is created, and the service is built so the minimum necessary information is shown to restaurant staff.

Sharing

Your allergy information is shared only when you show or send your card/QR code. Do not include information you do not want restaurant staff to see.

Retention

Data stored in your browser remains on your device until you clear it. Server logs are retained only for operational security and troubleshooting.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of any personal data FeedMeSafe controls. Because the tool is designed to avoid accounts and central profiles, most card data is controlled directly by you on your own device.
